Unicef
was founded in 1946 upon the initiative of
the United Nations General Assembly and strives to provide assistance to children of
any race, religion, nationality or political
opinion.
Today, Unicef focuses its attention on 4 main
areas: health, nutrition, water and education. Since
1946, great progress has been accomplished
by Unicef but there is still a lot to do.
For example, almost 1 billion people are illiterate.
This figure is unacceptable, as without education,
a child has no future. This is why Unicef and
Clairefontaine have
together created this range of notebooks.
Buying one of these notebooks will help Unicef
to achieve its mission.
