Self-taught artist, Isabelle Bouteillet has been director of an art gallery for many years. She has developed a technique of illustrative and abstract collages. What is her source of inspiration? Paper fi rst and foremost! Newspapers, gift wrapping paper, magazines, letters, photos! Multiform, it is the witness of our daily life, the memory of our days. What is her illustrative universe? Happy! Among the characters to whom she is faithful, little joyous women who accompany the happy events of our lives stand out. Clairefontaine wanted to give life to her characters by showcasing them on notebooks and accessories, combining the sobriety of its paper with the delicacy of her creations.
